Techniques

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Focuses on current problems and rather than looking at their past causes, looks at what can currently be done to find solutions to these problems. Working together to find solutions to problems which may seem insurmountable.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT focuses on identifying and recognising problems in a person’s thoughts and behaviours which may lead to their difficulties. It focuses on not only what the maladaptive thoughts and behaviours are, but what is prolonging these problems.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is about accepting and committing to our negative experiences rather than trying to control and change them. It is a process of finding what we value in life and how to not get side-tracked in working toward those values.

Mindfulness
Mindfulness is about learning to live in the moment for what it is without questioning ourselves too much. Often we find ourselves over-analysing ourselves and our situation, mindfulness can bring ourselves back to enjoying our reality.
